What I like is the story, the narrative constructed for the reader of a segment of life. I enjoy finding the story, reading the story, or consuming it as it is told. I love the moment sharing the excitement of the story with others who have enjoyed the story too. I know this moment fades so quickly as myself and the other turn to our concerns, or indeed to that other story we don't share, for no matter how the storyteller captures the zeitgeist of the moment, the moment quickly changes. And here I will foolishly wait for that snippet of conversation that I missed from a lifetime of finding solace in books that have remained undiscussed.
