Resumption
view galleriesIt seemed pointless her resuming her vigil as hundreds of passengers would have disembarked while she was in rehab, but she resumed her visits to the harbour on the day after her return. The walk would have been good for her rehabilitation. Her father joined her for their lunch which he brought from the Starbucks. I would greet her most visits and once had a brief conversation with her father about the harbour, and the origins of the harbour. Originally it had harboured a small fleet of fishing boats but once the hotel was built and the village became a tourist destination, the fishermen were forced back to the city by the water sports boats able to pay higher docking fees. Her father informed me the small fishing vessels no longer worked the lake from the city as the larger boats had forced them out, though there are a few villages on the other end of the lake that still have small fishing harbours. Our fish comes packed in ice on the ferry.
